AmesMUG: repair dead 4G iPod or new iPod Nano?

By reset the connector I presume do you mean the connection at the point of
the hard drive itself and not the point in which it connects to the logic
board? I pried open the case and took the connection out from the hard drive
and put it back in. So far it doesn't look good, but at the same time I need
to charge the battery on it before I can make any conclusions for sure.
