I'm not sure if I'm answering the question you had, but I'm guessing  
you're talking about the default email address that iCal uses to send  
email reminders.  It pulls those emails out of your address book card,  
so you should be able to open Address Book and change your email  
addresses in there.  Just try changing the assignment for your .mac  
and iastate emails (i.e. make iastate.edu your "home" address, .Mac  
your "other").
