AmesMUG: Adium crashes ONLY when you connect to a AIM account

I'm getting an issue where when I launch Adium it beachballs my  
entire machine for about a minute before quietly crashing.  Looking  
in the console and system logs, I think it might be related to  
Bonjour/Rendezvous.  I can't find any issue about it on Adium's site  
or Trac.  Are other people having this problem.  I can't seem to get  
anywhere fast enough to disable services to narrow down the problem.
