AmesMUG: Vibration Hum

s someone that works down there, without seeing it myself and getting
a better idea my first guess would be fans simply because they are
positioned at the rear of the machine and are relatively close to the
hinges, potentially causing vibration. On the other hand I can't say
I've ever seen a fan fail or end up positioned in such a way to do
that, I'd really have to look at it to get an idea of what is going
on.

Giving the machine an initial inspection doesn't cost anything
assuming we don't have to check it in and take it apart or do anything
that takes more than a few minutes to figure out what is wrong. Even
if it isn't under warranty bring it down to 74 Durham and we might be
able to give you a better idea of what is going on.
