AmesMUG Officers: Problems with SMTP

I just found a problem that has been occurring for the past few days  
on the MUG server that was not allowing messages to get through.  The  
problem was the /tmp directory somehow got bogus permissions not  
allowing postfix to use it.  Hopefully messages should be getting  
resent.  The sending servers should have gotten an SMTP 451 response,  
which I believe will retry sending at a later time.  I have not  
gotten a mailer-demon errors about this problem.
